Writing is one of the few art forms you can improve upon from now until the day you die. All other skills diminish with time. It’s a mind based art form where your thoughts are turned into words and words are transmitted from you to another person across globe.
But writing from the soul is also a gift and a curse.
It’s a gift because you are connecting to a higher power and channeling emotion into words that land and speak to thousands of people. It’s a curse because you are reliving past failures, whether by choice or by circumstance.
Reliving failure is the quickest way to stab yourself in the heart and twist the knife because we are all are masters of negativity and being our own worst enemy.
The best writing comes from a source of pain and to put yourself in that mood will take a mental toll on your body. It’s not healthy, but if I have to suffer for others so they can have some hope then my suffering is not in vain.
Suffering for others also creates a feedback loop of karma. The universe has a way of correcting itself when balance is tilted too much on one side. You see this play out in mother nature–but on a human scale you see this as ‘karma’ or some kind of force of repayment. After all, the soul is a part of the universe and things are connected in ways we can’t imagine or fully understand yet.
