Each time you lay down a word during a rough time, you put a stitch over the hole created. Over the course of the day the stitch will break and you’ll have to come up with new way to reframe something or find a better plan for the future.
It may seem like your doing nothing until one day that dark cloud gets lifted. Even though I practice mindset stuff, there are times where life hits you hard.
When I write I’m actively taking those thoughts out of my head and placing them outside of my body. Once they are outside of my body they begin to exist in the outside reality as there own representation. This frees up mental space for my mind to start thinking clearly. Even though it seems like nothing, over the course of the day the effects add up.
When you write you are connecting dots and creating stitches that are lasting mends instead of temporary fixes.
If you are going to “embrace the suck” then you might as well put it to good use.
