Each morning when I wake up, I say, “The game never ends.” Then I start thinking of ideas I’m going execute.
Each time I finish an article, I say to myself, “The game never ends.” Then I start writing the next one.
Each time I get a spike in web traffic, I say, “The game never ends.” Then I start writing even more.
Each time I see a jump in online money, I say, “The game never ends.” Then I get back to work.
Each time I look at the mirror and I see my muscles getting bigger from all the hard work I’ve put in, I say, “The game never ends.” Then I keep hitting the gym.
Each time a girls not my type, I say, “The game never ends.” Then I go talk to some more.
- I don’t say it in a positive or negative way. I say it in a matter of fact way. Just like, “The sky is blue.” Or, “The grass is green.” All I’m doing is stating a universal law.
When I first started, I used to finish an article, hit “publish”, and then lean back in my chair and take the rest of the day off. This turned into two days. Then three. Before you know it a whole month passed.
Other times, I’d get a spike in money from my niche site. Instead of working on it some more, i’d kick back in my chair and take it easy. Then before you know it I wondered why the money dried up.
Same thing happened with relationships I’ve had. I’d get the girl, get lazy, then things start falling apart.
Any area of life where you get lazy you pay a price.
One day I said, “Why am I not where I’m supposed to be?”
The answer immediately came …
“It’s because you checked out of the game.”
Nowadays, If I want to be productive on my books and websites, I just remind myself of an absolute universal truth: Either you’re playing the game or the game is getting played on you…
“The game never ends.”
Now time to get back to work.
