Day in and day out you grind away, but see nothing in return. The truth is it’s like this for all skills, websites, and ideas.
You will write all day, and you will see no one visits your post.
You will put out video after video, and you will get no views.
You will execute idea after idea, and you will see nothing happen.
You will practice a skill, and feel like you’re not making any progress.
You will spend lots of money before you see money.
But eventually something happens. You start to see the fruits of your labor pay off and slowly it comes. It might mean months or years of grinding away in order to see this.
I noticed this same pattern whenever I pick up a new skill. You will spend months learning how to do something, day in and day out, you work on it. Then all of sudden it clicks. It gets easier. And you won’t even notice when it happens. Because to you it was such a small insignificant thing you thought you were always able to do it. Then you want to go and learn more and you quickly forget the small milestone you just passed.
One day you will face your first setback.
Setbacks are the universe’s way of testing you to see if that’s what you really want.
Anytime you ask for something in life, the universe, God, karma, or whatever higher force you believe in, will throw a test at you.
The test is designed to weed out those who really wanted more out of life–from those who didn’t really want it in the first place.
The test comes in many forms. Your car breaks down, your girlfriend breaks up with you, you lose money, you go through great pain and hardship, you get distracted by porn / entertainment and games, etc.
If you still want it after all that, then that’s how you know you really wanted something.
Passing this test means you will do whatever it takes to get there. All the successful people you see are just people who stuck with it, and passed test after test.
Be the guy who sticks with it.
